Doctors:

Dr. Tanner Zimmerman grew up in Indianola, Iowa, and was involved in various athletics from a young age. He was involved in wrestling, football, baseball, cross country, track, and trap shooting just to name a few. Throughout his sports career, he acquired his fair share of injuries that chiropractic and rehab were able to help a lot with. This sparked his interest in conservative care and learning more about the body, how it functions, and how to manage pain and injuries.
After graduating from Indianola High School, he went on to study Biology and Spanish at Central College in Pella, Iowa where he also wrestled for four years. He studied abroad in Mérida, Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula for four months. During that time, he enjoyed getting immersed in the culture, touring Mayan ruins, and further mastering his Spanish-speaking abilities. After graduation, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic where he developed his passion for chiropractic, learning additional rehab concepts, and furthering his knowledge to serve his patients better.
For his chiropractic rotations, he was selected for the competitive VA clerkship in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he worked at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. He enjoyed working with the veteran population, furthering his training in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), and working in an integrative setting. From there, he moved to Birmingham to complete his final rotation at the FARM in Birmingham, Alabama. While he was there, he was able to further his education on Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and advanced rehabilitation concepts and work with several runners, gymnasts, and active adults.
In October of 2023, he graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Academic Excellence Award from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Throughout his time as a student, he was president of the Motion Palpation Club and helped to start the Rehab 2 Performance Club along the way. Through both of these clubs, he was able to advance his skills by attending several continuing education seminars on joint manipulation and rehab concepts, facilitating a book club, and sharing his knowledge with others in the program.
Dr. Zimmerman is also interested in creating handmade pottery, which he has created ever since he graduated high school. He is very interested in music and plays the acoustic guitar. He also enjoys being out in the outdoors whether that be through hunting, fishing, hiking, or trail running. He is passionate about serving others, advancing his skills, and meeting new people.
He can’t wait to get to know you and help you out!
